Unilever is the multi-national consumer goods company behind some of the world’s best-known brands. From pharmaceuticals to beauty products to snack foods, they do it all. As an expert across categories, their robust product portfolio became especially essential as Covid-19 began ravaging the globe. But how would they promote these necessities to a world isolating itself indoors?
The pandemic radically altered consumer habits, forcing the retail industry to pivot how it reached customers. Even a giant like Unilever had to reassess their approach. As a solution, my creative team and I redesigned the Unilever site to provide friendly, approachable imagery and speak directly to consumers in trying times. We also utilized key metrics and consumer data to drive personalized coupons, rewards, and products, which in turn served as a use case for delivering value and a foundation for future states of expansion.
